Today you'll cycle to the "truffle capital" of Italy: Alba. You'll cycle through Santo Stefano Belbo and Neive, declared one of Italy's most beautiful villages. If you leave a little early, you can explore Alba in the afternoon. The 4-star "Hotel Calissano" is a 5-minute walk from the town center.

You'll walk along the Tanaro River to Barbaresco, the first "wine metropolis" of your walk. Barbaresco is all about excellent wine; we recommend tasting "Barolo's little brother" at the Enoteca Regionale in the converted church of San Donato. The route takes you through the typical Langhe landscape, past vast vineyards, to the picturesque town of Neive. You'll spend the night in Treiso, located in the heart of the Langhe. This village was already a popular holiday destination among the Romans. You'll stay at B&B Ca Tupin in Treiso.

On the way to the hamlet of Canta, you'll pass the Rocche di Sette Fratelli, a deep gorge nestled among the vineyards. Then, you'll continue to San Bovo, enjoying stunning panoramic views, and finally reach the flower-filled village of Castino, perched on a hilltop between the Bormida and Belbo valleys. In the Middle Ages, it was a prosperous center with three monasteries, and today you can marvel at the region's first truffle orchard for tourists. The route leads you along the ridge of a hill among chestnut and hazelnut groves to Cravanzana. You'll spend the night in Cravanzana.

The final bike ride is also a beautiful one. It takes you through the Monferrato region back to Cascina Marcantonio or Relais Borgo del Gallo. Along the way, you'll see vineyards, hazelnut trees, and fruit trees, all set in an enchanting landscape.
You'll spend the night again at Cascina Marcantonio or Relais Borgo del Gallo.
After breakfast your holiday ends.
